NOTES:
1.    Register entry references, transcription, translation, and these Notes are by Robert Normant, grandson of Victor Miknis [a.k.a. Viktoras Miknevičius].
2.    Identities; Groom and Bride.  The groom in this marriage register entry is my great-grandfather Liudvikas Miknevičius, and the bride is my great-grandmother Barbora Petravičiūtė (family name "Petravičius").
3.    Identities; Groom's Parents.  The groom's parents in this marriage register entry are my great-great-grandparents Leonas Miknevičius and Elžbieta Vasilkevičiūtė (family name "Vasilkevičius").
4.    Identities; Bride's Parents.  The bride's parents in this marriage register entry are my great-great-grandparents Jonas Petravičius and Agnetė Svirtūnaitė (family name "Svirtūnas").
 5.    This register entry appears to be the original register entry, vs. being the contemporary handwritten transcribed copy of the original register entry. The alternate source for this record [F.1188 Ap.1 B.3; Kurtuvėnai RCC marriage register, 1865-1883] contains a contemporary handwritten transcribed copy. I have reviewed the contemporary handwritten transcribed copy (F.1188 Ap.1 B.3 Image 68 Entry 15) vs. this original register entry (F.604 Ap.37 B.120 page 533 Entry 6); there are several differences (attributable to inaccurate transcription) but there are no significant differences with respect to the basic genealogical information.

TRANSLATION NOTES:
T1.    The following book was used as an aid in transcribing and translating this register entry:  In Their Words; A Genealogist's Translation Guide to Polish, German, Latin, and Russian Documents; Volume II: Russian, by Jonathan D. Shea & William F. Hoffman, Language & Lineage Press, 2002. [There is now a newer edition (revised 2014)].
T2.    I translated the word "околицѣ" in Column 4 as "estate". Per the dictionary, the word "околица" means "outskirts of a village", but I think that in this case it was meant to convey that Mielaiciai was outside the jurisdiction of the local civil authorities.
